Masking fiasco 2006 began with the best of intentions. I sprayed these camo stripes out in the garage. It was so nice I thought it would be refreshing and relaxing to be in the fresh air. What I didn't think about was that without the fan in my spray booth pulling the paint laden air out of the area, I got horrible overspray all over the model and didn't realize it until I peeled the masking tape off. Anyway I spent another 3 hours going back over the gray area with ultra thinned gray paint. I took this opportunity to fade the edges of the sand yellow strips to soften the hard edge.
I then did a really diluted black wash on panel lines, edges and corners.
Onto the weathering and detailing!
